Global Women course: Fall 2009

Our collaborative teaching group is getting ready for the Fall 2009 Global Women course, offered as part of Butler's core curriculum. I've tried out the textbook "Women across Cultures: A Global Perspective" in the summer and liked it. We will continue to use Joni Seager's fabulous Atlas of Women in the World. Two exciting new additions to the course: Sindiwe Magona's "To my children's children" and Shahrnush Parsipur's "Women without men." This should make for an interesting comparison between South Africa and Iran.
